What is important to you? Where are you and what path are you walking along? Losses of all types, no matter how small they may seem to the outside world, shape you in profound ways. Receiving a medical diagnosis or coping day-in and day-out with a medical condition can cause us to feel as though life is out of our control. I would love to help you find your "new normal" and provide support and compassion as you walk your path.
My specialties include medical crisis counseling and grief, loss, and life transitions of all kinds. I am especially passionate about being a companion to you in your grief and working with clients that are struggling with a medical condition or a new diagnosis.
I use a very compassionate, client-centered approach, treating you as the expert on your life. I also have extensive training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy for chronic pain and for eating disorders, mindfulness-based stress reduction, working with clients with epilepsy and their families, CBT, and solution-focused brief therapy.
